Students have two options for the minor in English, one emphazising literature, the other emphasizing writing.

English minor with an emphasis in literature (18 credit hours)

ENGL 310 - Introduction to Literary Studies Credits: (3)

Select two of the four American and/or British survey courses (6 credit hours)

ENGL 361 - British Survey I Credits: (3)
ENGL 362 - British Survey II Credits: (3)
ENGL 381 - American Survey I Credits: (3)
ENGL 382 - American Survey II Credits: (3)

Select three courses ENGL 300 or above (9 credit hours)

One of these must be a literature course numbered 600 or above.

English minor with an emphasis in writing (18 credit hours)

Select one American or British survey course (3 credit hours)

ENGL 300 or above.
