Bachelor’s degree requirements
Two options are offered in the Feed Science and Management degree program; Feed Production or Biofuels Production.
The Feed Production option is intended for those wishing to follow the conventional feed science program to prepare for careers in the feed manufacturing and animal nutrition fileds including pet food manufcturing and other allied industries.
The Biofuels Production option focuses on preparation for supervisory and mannagement positions in the biofuels industry including grain processing, fuel production, and the utilization of the co-products produced in biofuels production.

Option A - Feed Production

The pre-professional requirements for admission to the doctor of veterinary medicine degree program may be met by appropriate elective selection while completing a degree in feed science and management. A total of 12 hours of social science and/or humanities electives are required. BIOL 455, BIOCH 521, ASI 500 and CHM 350/351 must be taken Note
Class work must include a minimum of 18 hours of classes from the approved list of K-State University General Education (UGE) classes and must be taken at K-State. Six of the hours must be from classes at the 300 level or above. Requirements for transfer students vary depending on transfer hours accepted by K-State. Total hours required for graduation (124)
