Methods and resources for teaching social studies in elementary grades with the goal of helping students develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an independent world.

Requisites
Pr.: Admission to Teacher Education and EDEL 420, 470, and 473. Conc. enrollment with EDEL 430, 471, and 474.
