ART 270 - Metalsmithing I

Credits: (3)
Design and execution of small-scale, three-dimensional objects, involving the basic processes of raising, forging, and fabrication in semi-precious metals. The techniques of centrifugal and vacuum casting of precious metals will also be introduced as well as soldering and piercing.

Prerequisite: ART 200 or non-majors consent of instructor.
