The Department of Geology cooperates in the Ph.D. program in geology at the University of Kansas. Candidates for the Ph.D. degree who wish to study with a faculty member from Kansas State University are admitted to the degree program at the University of Kansas and spend one year of residence there. The remaining course and research activity is carried out at Kansas State University.
