Program description

The curriculum and instruction graduate program offers a variety of graduate-level courses in all curricular areas with specific emphasis upon trends and recent developments in practice, theory, and research. These courses are offered on-campus, at selected off-campus sites, and via distance learning.

This program supports the following degrees: the master of science in curriculum and instruction, the doctor of education in curriculum and instruction, and the doctor of philosophy in curriculum and instruction. In all of these programs, breadth of study is stressed with students taking courses in other programs in the College of Education and the university.

The program offers numerous short courses, workshops, and seminars in addition to courses in the catalog. These can be applied to degree programs or taken for personal or professional development unrelated to a degree program.
