The Division of Continuing Education works with K-State’s faculty to deliver the university’s quality learning resources to learners throughout Kansas, the nation, and the world through courses, conferences, professional development, and other learning experiences. The university makes use of the Internet, TELENET 2 (a partnership of Regents institutions), videoconferencing, and face-to-face instruction. Location, once a major obstacle for those seeking educational opportunities, is being overcome through effective use of technology and services to distance students.
The Division of Continuing Education has a trained staff to help students who have encountered obstacles to traditional college attendance, such as barriers created by distance, employment, physical handicap, or family responsibilities. Students are advised in their individual programs of study to select options such as online classes, off-campus classes, conferences, short courses, workshops, or TELENET 2 courses that best suits their needs.
