The department of Physics offers an M.S. in Physics.  However, please note that in the candidate selection process, strong preference is given to applicants who want to study for a Ph.D.  You should also be aware that in our system, it is not necessary to get an M.S. before studying for a Ph.D.  It is possible to do, but will typically delay receiving your Ph.D. by several months.  Most students go directly for their Ph.D.
