Examines the Agrarian literary and philosophical traditions to better understand the drivers of food and agriculture movements in the United States and globally. Studies Virgil, Sir Albert Howard, Aldo Leopold, and Wendell Berry, among others. Analyzes texts both within their historical contexts and as they apply to modern food movements.
