Academic Standing is a formal notice of a student’s academic progress. The rules are intended to define what is expected of the students and give them an opportunity to meet the University’s academic expectations. At the end of each semester (fall, spring, summer), each student’s academic standing is reviewed for action.
K-State is responsible for determining the credit hours awarded for coursework in its programs in accordance with the definition of a credit hour for Federal program purposes. A credit hour is an amount of work represented in intended learning outcomes and verified by evidence of student achievement that is an institutionally established equivalency.
