IAID 602 - Furniture Design II Credits: 4
This course continues to enhance and increase the understanding of a human-centered approach to the design and prototyping of furniture, while focusing more deeply on function and context. Students will develop and practice intermediate woodworking and metalworking techniques and skills. The topics of the course may also include contextual and functional analysis for furniture design, sustainable practices, intermediate structural considerations,and an introduction to human factors as they relate to the design of furniture and accessories.

Requisites: Prerequisite: IAID 407 and no grade lower than a C in any IARC or INDD studio course.
