HIST 981 - Topics in Third World History The topics courses are designed through reading and discussion to acquaint students with the literature in various fields or areas of history. They are also intended to familiarize students with major substantive areas of dispute and historical debate within a field of study. Within the general areas listed below, these courses may focus inter alia upon political, diplomatic, social, religious, intellectual, or environmental history. Specific topics will be listed in the class schedule for the semester in which they are offered.
