GEOG 508 - Geographic Information Systems I Examination of the major concepts, theories, and operations in geographic information systems (GIS). Topics include the structure of geographic data models, geographic data acquisition, spatial database management, data processing methods. Vector and raster GIS operations, and general approaches to GIS-based spatial modeling.

Note: The course will consist of two hours of lec. and two hours of lab a week.
Requisites: Pr.: GEOG 302 or instructor permission.
