For the Thesis Option, exclusive of thesis research, at least 15 hours must be taken in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The remaining graduate courses should be prudently selected by the student in consultation with the student’s supervisory committee. A poster that meets department guidelines will also be required.

For the Report Option, exclusive of report research, at least 15 hours must be taken in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The remaining graduate courses should be prudently selected by the student in consultation with the student’s supervisory committee.
A minimum of 12 additional hours of graduate level ECE courses are required for all students including 6 hours of laboratory courses. Students entering from an ABET accredited program may have this requirement waived. The remaining 12 hours may be selected from ECE graduate courses or other supporting areas as determined by the student’s supervisory committee.
The coursework only option for this program does not require a culminating experience.
