Successful completion of the following courses with a minimum overall grade requirement of 3.0:

Completion requirement

A culminating experience is required for this option. The graduate student works with the major professor and the supervisory committee to determine the parameters of the culminating experience.

A minimum of 15 credit hours of elective courses is required for the degree. Students may use CDPLN elective courses or courses outside the department with LARCP Department Head approval. During their last semester, students will complete a culminating experience comprised of an exam that draws on coursework and readings students have completed, as well as personal experiences. The department will form the supervisory committee for the student.

A minimum of 12 credit hours of elective courses is required for the degree plus CDPLN 897 (1 credit) and CDPLN 899 (2 credits). Students may use CDPLN elective courses or courses outside the department with LARCP Department Head approval. Students must petition for this option before their last semester and put together their own supervisory committee and research topic.

Completion requirement

A minimum of 9 credit hours of elective courses is required for the degree plus CDPLN 897 (1 credit) and CDPLN 899 (6 credits). Students may use CDPLN elective courses or courses outside the department with LARCP Department Head approval. Students must petition for this option at least two semesters in advance of graduation and put together their own supervisory committee and research topic.
