Family and Consumer Sciences Education - Teacher Certification (BS)

This degree program is for students who plan to teach family and consumer sciences at the middle, junior high, senior high, or postsecondary levels. Family and consumer sciences educators equip students with the life skills they need to be healthy individuals and build strong families. Graduates of the program primarily work in middle and secondary schools, and cooperative extension. 

Upon successful completion of all family and consumer sciences licensure requirements and the PRAXIS II content assessment test for family and consumer sciences, graduates are eligible to apply for licensure to teach family and consumer sciences in Kansas schools.
