The Bachelor of Science in Applied and Interdisciplinary Studies is a specialized 120 credit hour undergraduate degree completion program that fuses technical knowledge and professional skills for those who aspire to managerial and supervisory roles in various industries. Students will have the ability to tailor the degree to suit their professional goals and build upon previously developed skillsets. Areas available for development include leadership, business, expanded skills in written and oral communication, and conflict resolution.
The Bachelor of Science in Applied and Interdisciplinary Studies will be designed to be flexible to allow for a maximum number of transfer credits (75) and ensure that students can complete their AAS/AGS and their general education core. The program will then allow students to receive the undergraduate Leadership Certificate through the Staley School in Manhattan and an additional applicable minor or certificate, which should be selected upon admission to the program. Students can complete applied learning courses through each campus' online coursework, gain valuable professional skills through their elective options, and enhance their educational experience without losing technical coursework in the transfer process. Approval for admission from the program director may be granted for students who have completed technical education certificate programs or who have completed 30 hours or more of relevant coursework, or students who have completed an AA or AS. This is an online program specifically designed for place-bound students.
*Program outcomes align with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career readiness competencies.
