Spanish Minor

Develop intermediate level language skills in Spanish as well as an interdisciplinary foundation in the culture of the Spanish-speaking world.

Program requirements


The following are the Spanish minor requirements:

  • 18 credit hours of Spanish courses at the 200-level or above, must include a literature course.
  • You must receive a “C” or better, or a minimum GPA of 2.5, in all courses counted toward a minor. 
  • Classes for the minor cannot be taken Pass/Fail. Retroactive Credit from KSU does apply toward the minor.
  • We strongly encourage students to Study Abroad. While we will accept appropriate coursework taken toward the minor, no more than 6 credit hours of transfer courses may be used for the minor.

18 credit hours in Spanish at and above the 200-level, including:

SPAN 550 - Introduction to Hispanic Readings and Media
