Mathematics - Actuarial Mathematics (BS)

The Actuarial Mathematics Track of the Mathematics BS degree prepares students with the necessary background to succeed in an actuarial science career. The curriculum emphasizes topics such as of probability, statistics, and mathematical finance. In addition to the requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences, actuarial mathematics majors must take the foundational and intermediate courses, specific courses focused on actuarial content, and then choose more advanced courses among the mathematics offerings. Each mathematics major will need to take free electives beyond their specified mathematics coursework in order to meet graduation requirements.
