Management Information Systems (BSBA)

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Degrees and Certificates Offered

The management information systems major focuses on the technical and conceptual skills needed to help organizations solve problems using technological and digital solutions. The role of the information systems professional requires knowledge of systems applications and data management tools, as well as a broad understanding of how such systems and technology can be applied to business processes.

The K-State MIS program is designed to produce graduates who are business application developers, especially in team project settings. Organizations recognize the need for analysts and developers that understand both business and technology, particularly in functional areas such as marketing, accounting, finance, human resources, supply chain management, and general management.
