The Secondary Major in Dance and the Human Experience prioritizes embodied knowledge as an essential means of developing insight, creativity and awareness for collective problem solving rooted in mutual interdependence. A commitment to rigorous physical practice and a thorough foundation in movement analysis, theory, and pedagogy, is coupled with diverse electives in dance and fields enhanced by the study of dance. Culminating capstone courses provide students the opportunity to integrate their learning in dance and their primary major in a research, pedagogical, or choreographic project.
