Food Safety and Quality Undergraduate Certificate

Location(s): Manhattan Campus, Manhattan Online



A non-degree undergraduate certificate in Food Safety and Quality requires the completion of 20 K-state semester credit hours of Food Science or closely related courses (transfer credit will not be applied).

Eligibility
The Food Safety and Quality non-degree undergraduate certificate is open to students who live in the United States or are active duty American military.


Prerequisite course requirements: College chemistry, biology, and microbiology must be completed before starting the certificate program. Additional course prerequisites may exist for elective courses.


Application Process
The Food Safety and Quality non-degree undergraduate certificate program has an application fee.  Apply online and pay the application fee using the undergraduate application. You must be admitted at least 30 days prior to the semester beginning. 

Starting Dates
Fall semester begins in late-August, spring semester begins in mid-January, and summer semester begins in mid-May.

Courses
A current listing of courses (and cost per course) can be accessed at the K-State Global Campus website (click on search for an online class). Courses can be used towards a Bachelor Degree.
