Sociology Minor

The Sociology minor will complement other majors and minors across the University.  The Sociology minor is in high demand among students seeking additional training in global citizenship, pre-health, law, Political Science, Psychology, Business, Agricultural Economics, and Social Transformation Studies.  It will also enable students seeking certificates to double or triple minor.  Many students pursuing the Conflict Resolution Certificate and Conflict Analysis/Trauma Studies minor will readily be able to secure a second minor in Sociology.  The Sociology minor will build synergy between a variety of programs and provide students with more options for both expanding and tailoring their studies to meet their academic and career goals.

GPA and Course Requirements: 15 credits


Students interested in a minor in Sociology are required to earn a minimum 2.5 grade point average in all courses taken for minor credit.  

Courses: 6 credits hours


Electives: 9 credits hours


Total credit hours: 15
