The Art Department offers a BA degree with concentration areas in both Art History and Studio Art. Both degree concentrations require fulfillment of the College of Arts and Sciences requirements for the B.A. The Art B.A. requires core foundations in both Studio and Art History in addition to further study in one concentration. Students majoring in Art must earn a total of 120 credit hours for graduation.
The BA prepares students for graduate work and academic careers in a wide range of arts-related fields, including arts administration, cultural entrepreneurship, museum studies, arts, community development and other fields outside the arts that require expertise in art, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
