Major Field requirements (6 credit hours)
Choose from one of the following three Areas of Emphasis:
Management majors must choose between the following emphases:
- General Management (12 credit hours)
- Human Resource Management (12 credit hours)
- Operations and Supply Chain Management (9 credit hours)
All emphases consist of the completion of 9-12 credit hours of electives. Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) Emphasis
General Management/Entrepreneurship (GM) Emphasis
Select 12 credit hours from:
- Select 3 credit hours from the courses listed in the Human Resources Management (HRM) emphasis.
- Select 3 credit hours from the courses listed in the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) emphasis.
- Select 6 credit hours from the courses listed in the HRM, OSCM, MIS, or from the courses listed below or course substitutions accepted in consultation with your academic advisor.
- A total of 9 of the 12 credit hours must be management courses.
Human Resources Management (HRM) Emphasis

Select 6 credit hours from:
Economics Electives (6 credit hours)
Notes: Economics electives must be selected from economics course offerings numbered 500 or above (excluding ECON 505) in consultation with the student’s academic advisor.
Economics electives may not overlap with economics courses used to fulfill another requirement within the management major.

Unrestricted electives (15 credit hours)
Any course numbered 100-level or above offered for credit by a university department. Students are strongly encouraged to use their unrestricted electives to complete for-credit experiential learning opportunities, such as internships, community service/engagement, and study abroad.
