EDCI 515 - Educational Policy Credits: 3
This course offers an analytical foundation for students interested in PK-12 education and educational public policy implementation within those settings. Drawing on social science research, the course examines the strengths and limitations of various education reform initiatives at the federal, state, and local levels. We will also apply analytical concepts to school reform issues. This course is designed to introduce students to a variety of educational policy strategies aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning in PK-12 settings. It aims to help students build a rich framework for analyzing policies of various types, both theoretically and methodologically.
