PHILO 346 - Grasping Reality: The Art of Analysis

Introduction to the formal and informal methods of philosophical analysis. Topics include thought experiments, reflective equilibrium, counterfactual analysis, conceptions of ‘knowledge’ and ‘evidence’, notions of proof, causation and causal inference, supervenience, natural laws and other dependence relations.
