EDCI 768 - Teaching Computer Science in Elementary Schools Credits: 3
Using block-coding students will participate in activities designed according to the research-based principles developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and the National Centre for Computing Education. Focus is placed upon developing concepts around variable, expressions, loops, and abstraction (VELA). Students will utilize a variety of unplugged activities to teach computing concepts. Students will also convert these activities into powerful lessons and units focused on real world examples of computing in our society.
