GEOL 602 - Mineral Exploration for a Sustainable Future Credits: 3
Covers basic mineral exploration techniques required for a sustainable future for society. Students will gain experience in different geological, geophysical (induced polarization, magnetic and radiometry surveys), and geochemical techniques employed by the industry, with specific emphasis on critical materials used for the energy transition. Multidisciplinary approaches used to interpret large datasets to generate exploration targets which can be sustainably obtained are taught as well as guest lectures from industry professionals.
