GEOL 581 - Principles of Paleontology Credits: 3
An overview of paleontological principles relating to the application of the fossil record to questions of evolution, paleoecology, paleoenvironment, depositional dynamics, facies analysis, and stratigraphy. Identification of main fossil groups.
Note Two 1.5 hour lectures, and one 3-hour lab per week.
