GEOL 315 - Geology of the National Parks Credits: 3
Geological survey of the land forms, structure, rocks and hazards of America’s National Parks. Each park’s geological development through time is explained with special attention placed on how the geologic processes (igneous activity, mountain building and uplift, glaciation, weathering and erosion, wave action, and groundwater) shaped and created the exceptional landscapes in our national parks and the impact of human activities on these unique places that we as a nation have chosen to preserve.
