GWSS 275 - Gender and Sex in Science Fiction Credits: 3
Examines various forms of U.S. science fiction, including short stories, films, and television and how these forms imagine gender (identities, roles, expectations) and sex (identity and acts). Using a feminist lens, students will gain an understanding of how power is understood, questioned, negotiated and/or reinforced in these sci-fi depictions.
