HIST 537 - History of the Indigenous Peoples of North America Credits: 3
A survey of the Indigenous peoples of the North American continent, with a focus on the United States, from 30,000 BP to the present. Drawing on the work of anthropologists, ethnologists, historians, and the voices of Native peoples, this course provides students a Native-based perspective that challenges common stereotypes and provides a pathway for understanding contemporary sovereignty movements.
