AVT 361 - Airport Environmental StudiesCredits: (3) Introduction to responsibilities, liabilities and public relations when dealing with environmental issues in day-to-day airport operations. Includes strategies for addressing airport and aircraft noise, wildlife hazard mitigation, compatible land use, wetlands, historical properties and impacts of construction. Federal regulations and enforcement are studied with emphasis on the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Pollution Prevention ACT, and National Historic Preservation Act as they apply to airports.
Requisites Prerequisite: MATH 100, ENGL 302.
