AVT 250 - Safety and Security of Airport Ground OperationsCredits: (3) This course discusses general aviation airport ground operations, particularly from the mechanic, pilot, and ramp worker perspective. Focus will be on increasing awareness of airport operations. Attention will be given to improving airport safety by creating an enhanced awareness of rules, policies, procedures, and potential hazards that affect all individuals working in and around the airport ground operations environment. Some topics included are: aircraft marshalling procedures, airfield security issues, ground vehicle operations, and security and accident/incident response reporting.
