AVT 240 - Introduction to Air Traffic ControlCredits: (3) An introductory air traffic control (ATC) course that focuses on Terminal, Enroute, and FSS ATC procedures. The course examines the role of an air traffic controller at the various operational positions throughout the ATC system. The course gives an overview of the current U.S. National Airspace System as it relates to ATC procedures. In addition, the course looks at the use of future technologies and how they enhance the ATC system. Off-campus trips contribute to experiential learning.
Note Two hours lecture and two hours lab a week.
Requisites Prerequisite: PPIL 111.
