PPIL 100 - Introduction to Aviation

Credits: (3)
This course will examine the history of aviation and a look at the future. Throughout the course we will discuss the attributes of an aviation professional, careers, career planning, and pilot certification. Students will consider historical events and their relationship to current aviation aspects. The interdependency and synergy in the development of military aircraft, the space program, as well as the growth of commercial and general aviation will be discussed. Students will use the Internet for various research projects concerning the past, present, and future of aviation.
