Whether you want to manage a resort in the mountains, open a restaurant in your hometown or organize events in the city, the ONLINE hospitality administration master’s program can help prepare you for success. Coursework is designed for a variety of careers in hospitality industry management, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects will grow at a higher rate than the national average for all occupation and management occupation jobs.

Admission Requirements


The Hospitality Administration M.S. is offered through the Hospitality Management graduate program.  Admission to the program requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Regular admission requires a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 

A background in hospitality and business, either experience or coursework, is suggested for successful completion of the program. Students without an educational background in these areas might consider remedial coursework to ensure success.

Industry experience in some aspect of hospitality management is preferred. If the student has no industry-related work experience, 1000 hours of such experience must be completed during the degree program.

    Course Requirements


    Students may choose one of the following plans:

    • Coursework only option: 30 hours of graduate course work.
    • Thesis option: 24 hours of graduate coursework and 6 hours of research for a thesis.

    The coursework only option for this program does not require a culminating experience.

    Coursework Only Option Courses


    12 credit hours in Graduate Elective Courses. 

    Graduate elective courses must be approved by the student’s major professor or supervisory committee if required.

    Total Hours Required for Master’s: 30
