The Certificate in Principled Business is a 12-credit interdisciplinary credential designed for students across all majors who seek foundational knowledge of how business functions and contributes to society. The certificate provides a broad base in ethical reasoning, market-based thinking, and organizational decision-making, helping students understand the role of business in creating value for individuals, organizations, and communities. It complements any major by equipping non-business students with essential fluency in business concepts and providing business students with an integrated perspective that connects ethics, markets, and management decision-making. Together, these outcomes strengthen students’ ability to apply principled business practices in a wide range of professional contexts.
