The Business Law Undergraduate Certificate offers students a foundation in core business law principles while allowing them to customize their studies through specialized legal courses available across campus. This certificate prepares students for careers in the legal field, whether working in-house in the private setting or in law firms. It is also highly valuable for those pursuing business roles that require a deep understanding of legal issues, such as positions in management, human resources, or compliance. Students will explore laws that frequently impact businesses and develop the skills to analyze legal scenarios using established legal frameworks. Through targeted coursework, students will build their ability to assess legal risks, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively in complex business environments.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the Certificate in Business Law is open to any Kansas State University students pursuing an undergraduate degree in good standing. Graduation Requirements
Students must earn a minimum of 2.50 grade point average in courses taken to fulfill the requirements of the Certificate in Business Law. Furthermore, students must earn at least 9 of the credits hours that apply to the certificate from Kansas State University. Required Courses: 6 credit hours
Note: For business majors, no more than 2 major field requirement courses may be counted toward the certificate. Elective Courses: 9 credit hours
