The Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) minor offers students, who are in other degree programs, the opportunity to understand drones. This standalone minor prepares students to earn safety and remote pilot certifications in addition to a solid foundation on the following: multi-rotor flight, maintenance, safety, mapping, data management, and design and construction.
All core courses are online with a hands-on flight training component. With no manned flight ratings required, the UAS minor creates an opportunity for many students in programs including journalism, geography, geology, engineering or agronomy.
