The Minor in Pet Food Science is designed to provide a foundation in pet food processing. The objectives of the minor are for the student to: acquire an understanding of commonly used ingredients in pet food; the functions of varying pet processes; to learn procedures related to pet food processing; and to apply academic skills to the challenges of manufacturing different varieties of pet foods.
