Strategic Health Communication Graduate Certificate

Location(s): Manhattan Online



The interdisciplinary online certificate in strategic health communication advances students' knowledge and communication skills to effectively communicate about a wide array of public health issues. The program provides the necessary theoretical and methodological grounding for design of health communication strategies and messaging that can be disseminated through social media and other communication strategies. Students will be equipped with the necessary skills to gather and analyze data, and to develop, disseminate and evaluate evidence-based health communication campaigns.

This certificate may connect with one or more master degree programs. At the recommendation of the academic program, students may apply credits earned through this graduate certificate completion towards a graduate program at Kansas State University, provided that all Graduate School policies are fulfilled. 

Admission Requirements


Working professionals with a bachelor’s degree; seniors and graduate status from discipline with interest in a career in public health, health and environmental reporting, hospital public relations, administration.
