The online Master of Science in Gerontology prepares graduates to become practitioners, advocates, leaders, and changemakers in the field of aging. Innovative courses taught by a diverse faculty engage students in a variety of topics such as health and well-being, advocacy, emerging critical issues, and community-based interventions. This flexible and customizable curriculum is designed to meet the needs of students seeking professional preparation for career development or advancement in their field.

Course Requirements
The program requires 30 credit hours of coursework. Students will choose one of the following plans: - A) Gerontology (15) + Electives (15)
- B) Gerontology (15) + Long-Term Care Administration (6) + Electives (9)
Most students who successfully complete the Long-Term Care Administration track will be eligible to sit for their specific state’s administrator licensing exam. A culminating experience is required for this option. The graduate student works with the major professor and the supervisory committee to determine the parameters of the culminating experience.
