The Managerial Consulting Certificate provides specialized training in the management consulting process as it applies to both internal (business development) and external (consulting industry) contexts. Students will learn how to apply consulting tools and frameworks to engage clients, identify and analyze organizational problems, effectively present their findings, formulate recommendations, and implement change initiatives. Through a variety of applied learning experiences, students will sharpen their analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills. This certificate is relevant to anyone interested in identifying new business opportunities, tasked with managing organizational change, or responsible for client relationships, as well as those seeking traditional consulting careers.

Program Requirements
Admission Requirements: Certificate can be completed by degree-seeking students at Kansas State University or obtained as a credential on its own (free-standing). Students who do not intend to become a candidate for a bachelor’s degree at Kansas State University must apply for admission as a non-degree, certificate-seeking student. Such students must submit the admission application, application fee, and transcripts. Applicants must provide documentation of high school or GED completion and, if college courses have been attempted, official transcripts demonstrating a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher for all post-secondary coursework. Students who later choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree must apply for admission as a degree-seeking student. Graduation Requirements: - Students must earn at least a 2.5 GPA in all courses taken to fulfill the requirements of the certificate program.
- Issued by the K-State College of Business Administration, the student’s transcript will note the certification.
Required Courses: (9 credit hours)
