The Agritourism Certificate consists of 15 credit hours and prepares students with the necessary skills to lead and manage businesses in agriculturally based tourism operations. This certificate is available to all current undergraduate students or as a post-baccalaureate certificate. This certificate complements many majors including those interested in hospitality and tourism, small business, agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural sales, global food system leadership, outdoor enterprises management, and many more.
The Agritourism Certificate can be completed by degree-seeking students at Kansas State or obtained as a credential on its own (free-standing). Students who do not intend to become a candidate for a bachelor’s degree at Kansas State University must apply for admission as a non-degree, certificate-seeking student.
A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher across the 15 credit hours is required for graduation. Additionally, each course must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
