The purpose for the Health Coaching certificate is to provide specific training to individuals seeking work as a Health Coach. A Health Coach is someone who educates and mentors individuals, or small groups, to improve their health behaviors. This is not a national certification program, but an academic certificate that can be completed by degree seeking students at Kansas State University or obtained by non-degree seeking as a credential on its own (free-standing).
