Gerontology Minor



The 15-credit hour undergraduate minor in gerontology prepares students from diverse majors to work with the globally aging population. This program is available to all students currently enrolled at Kansas State University. Graduates of Kansas State University may also enroll in this program as a post-baccalaureate student. Students can enroll by contacting the Center on Aging (gerontology@ksu.edu).

Elective Courses (9 credit hours)


Additional courses may be approved for gerontology credit on a case-by-case basis by the Center on Aging Academic Affairs Committee.

Students will choose 9 credit hours of electives from this list based upon their professional goals. At least 3 elective credit hours must be taken in gerontology. Courses not listed here may be approved on a case-by-case basis by the gerontology advisor and/or program director.
