Health Coach Certificate

The purpose for the Health Coaching certificate is to provide specific training to individuals seeking work as a Health Coach. A Health Coach is someone who educates and mentors individuals, or small groups, to improve their health behaviors. This is not a national certification program, but an academic certificate. Certificate can be completed by degree seeking students at Kansas State University or obtained by non-degree seeking as a credential on its own (free-standing).

Course Requirements (15-16 credit hours)

Didactic:

FNDH 352 - Personal Wellness Credits: 3
FNDH 450 - Nutritional Assessment Credits: 2
FNDH 515 - Counseling Strategies in Dietetic Practice Credits: 3
PSYCH 110 - General Psychology Credits: 3

Practicum/Internship (1 credit hour)

FNDH 650 - Practicum in Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health Credits: 1-6
