Children in Group Settings Minor

The undergraduate minor in Children in Group Settings (CGS) provides the theoretical and empirical foundation for best practice in the field of early care and education. Human service professionals are provided with the requisite knowledge of the developmental changes that typically occur in the early childhood years, variations in development that may occur, and how best to support children’s learning and development.

Graduation Requirements:


The minor in Children in Group Settings will be available upon the completion of the sixteen (16) required hours. To be awarded a minor, the student must a) not be on probation, b) have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher on coursework applied to the minor, and c) have a C or better in all coursework applied to the minor.
